Eric Tadsen

I'm a professional photographer based in Madison Wisconsin and have been photographing weddings (along with my commercial, editorial and advertising photography work) for 18 years. Through the years I've honed my technical skills so I can concentrate on composition and timing without worrying about technical issues. As my shots demonstrate, I am very good at using existing light, capturing images that are natural and kind. Even the shots in which strobe (flash) is used, the effect is still soft. I strive to record as many of the fleeting moments which can pass by unnoticed on your day as I can. In the end you get a chronological set of photographs that really tell a great story. I shoot all weddings myself and personally look at, edit, crop and color correct each and every image before you see them. No big studio can offer this level of personal service and artistic integrity!

I have been involved in photography ever since I taught myself black and white development processes, by reading Kodak books, at age 14. I would ride my bike, chemical bottles slung over my bike rack, negatives in a cigar box, to the local library, which had a darkroom and spend hours enraptured at the process of making images. Since that time I've worked continuously in some capacity with photography. I am currently involved in several art projects and enjoy travelling with my camera, recording little scenes and moments in the countries which I visit.

I enjoy travelling and am happy to photograph your wedding wherever you may be. Travelling fees will apply, but my packages are priced very reasonably and you may still find it worth it to pay me to travel.
