Frequently asked questions:

Please note that all wedding photography is now done on digital equipment. The flexibility and resolution of this format is now so far superior to traditional film media that I now shoot film only if people absolutely insist. We use 13 megapixel cameras which produce tack sharp, gorgeous color prints.

The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that digital cameras capture color images which can be converted to extremely high quality black and white images later. Printroom.com allows you the option of viewing your photographs in black and white or sepia. These monochrome versions of your color files can be ordered later once you decide what you might like to see in black and white.

The prints in your album will, however, be in color unless special requests are made.

Digital photographs are taken on a very high resolution digital camera with the same optics that are used to shoot film. Digital prints are made on photographic paper from a very high resolution projection of the image. Digital imagery offers superior rendition because every aspect of the photograph can be controlled in post production. This is not possible with film. We spend hours adjusting color, contrast and sharpness to their optimum values before ordering your prints. The life of the materials is approximately 200 years, according to current estimates. Digital files can be blown up to 18x24 inches with excellent resolution.

The DVD with the digital files on it can be taken to any consumer or professional photo lab where the images can be reprinted. All photo labs now reproduce digital images and most do a fairly good job. For the best quality, order your reprints from printroom.com because the website has excellent quality control as well as being the original source of your wedding prints. Using printroom will ensure that your reprints look exactly like the prints in your album.

While I don't put your photos in a traditional style wedding album, I do have access to vendors of these albums and you can order a binder and inserts through me, should you wish. You may find you have a great variety of suppliers on the web as well, and with the digital files you can have a bound book made with your pictures in it. I can provide more information.

I have certainly shot many different types of ceremonies. Please know that I am open to any sort of commitment ceremony.
