La beauté de printemps…

Here in Madison, Wisconsin Tadsen Photography is waiting eagerly for some foliage to appear. Now a purist might say that you can photograph anything at any time of year and make it art, and that is most likely the truth.  But there is nothing like the greenery returning to the verdant hills and dales of Wisconsin to make a person want to grab their camera and make that vain, human attempt to capture some of the feeling of that sweetest time of year.

Capturing rural Wisconsin may very well be the great project of the year. I’m not so much known for landscape photography, but I’ve recently acquired an Epson 9600 which will allow me to make prints four feet wide by unlimited lengths, and this leads to the temptation to create vast, extravagant panaromas.  I’ve discovered that capturing rural, agricultural scenes does not need to be cliche, that it can be done with depth and feeling and not be something that people have seen 1000 times before on every postcard stand in every convenience store in this state.

So it’s off to the countryside with Tadsen Photography.  When the green comes, look for me there.
