Wednesday

It’s Wednesday and the Tadsen Photography staff of minions is hard at work churning out digital images, giving me just enough breathing space to fire off a quick blog post. January and February were a month for art reproduction and large industrial products. Such disparate subject matter is part of what helps improve my skill as a photographer. Many is the time in which I realize that the lessons learned lighting a massive industrial valve also can apply to the lighting of a completely unrelated scene: a butterfly, human being or tractor trailer. Specialization is all well and good, but we like to say that we specialize in everything, drawing on the experiences learned from various experiences helps to create stronger imagery in general.

Yes, folks, here it is the third instantiation of the Tadsen Photography “blog!” The previous instantiations disappeared into the great wild web hosting forest, along with several other important folders. My web host claims complete obliviousness.
So, after many machinations, here it is again, the Tadsen Photography web log! Tadsen Photography has had a very busy January. Editorially, I’ve been photographing 40 notable individuals all under the age of 40 for In Business’ annual “40 under 40″ issue. It’s always great to meet so many dynamic people and hear a little bit about what is on their minds. See a sneak preview at
On the product and commercial front there’s been a lot of demand to photography large industrial equipment. Who’d know? In the depths of a downturn and with people laid off and production cut, manufacturers are still showcasing their wares. That’s some good news and we all hope it continues up to and into the promised recovery. The recovery is coming soon, right?

All right, that will do it for our first new post. Please give any feedback you feel that you might want to give, we are always ready to hear what you think!
